Irrigation Manager and certified irrigation designer, Richard James said the addition of the Irrifrance equipment would help to broaden the range of products on offer. Mr James said LIC could help growers by supplying, servicing, installing and repairing irrigation systems. |

Irrifrance has been building centre pivot irrigation systems in France for 30 years but only recently started selling them in Australia. The centre pivots are available in fixed or towable configuration and are electrically driven. A feature of the Irrifrance pivots which makes them stand out from their competition is poly lining of the span pipe to prevent corrosion. |

Mr James said there was a 15 year full replacement guarantee on the span pipe. Two of the pivots are already in operation in the Riverland. One covers 40ha at Loxton and another irrigates 16ha at Blanchetown. Irrifrance centre pivots are designed to cope with steep slopes in France, making them well suited to harsh Australian conditions.
